(Analysis of rob floods and their mitigation in Semarang City)

Abstract

Semarang City is a city with a width of 4 kilometers from the coastline and in the east of Semarang the lowland area continues to expand to 11 kilometers. This lowland includes a floodplain area consisting of several large rivers that flow in the city of Semarang. Semarang is also one of the big cities in Indonesia but is vulnerable to tidal flooding. Tidal floods always occur every year, so there needs to be better attention from various instruments such as the government and the community. The research method used is a qualitative method with literature study and literature study, the technique used is by collecting various related sources. The negative impact of tidal flooding greatly affects existing aspects such as economic, social and environmental aspects. So there needs to be an understanding so that the mitigation carried out by the government runs optimally.
